Our Guiding Principles

What we Believe

Houston Pentecostal Church is part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). Our beliefs follow the PAOC's Statement of Fundamental and Essential Truths.

Our Core Convictions

The Bible, God, and Salvation

We believe the whole Bible is inspired by God and without error, our final authority in faith and practice. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection, received by repentance and faith.

Our Doctrinal Statements

The Spirit-Filled Life

We believe believers can be baptized in the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in other tongues, and are encouraged to seek this experience. We believe healing was provided for in Christ's atonement, and we practice prayer for the sick.

We believe the local church exists to worship God, teach believers, and reach the world with the Gospel, observing baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper as its ordinances. We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ.
